Insider guide

Shopping Sacramento St.

The story

Sacramento Street in Presidio Heights is a quiet four-to-five-block stretch between Presidio Ave and Spruce St, plus the 3200–3300 blocks just east of Presidio Ave. It mixes independent designer boutiques, high-end consignment, tabletop and furniture showrooms and a few well-known restaurants.

Come for designer resale, home goods and a neighborhood lunch rather than a big brand run. Street numbers climb as you head west, from Sorrel at 3228 to McMullen at 3687 near Spruce.

What to Expect

Resale is the draw. The Nobo (3566), opened in 2026, sells women's and men's Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Dior, takes consignments and offers swaps for store credit. Goodbyes has two stores: women's designer consignment at 3483, and a men's consignment and women's sale shop at 3333.

For new designer clothing, McMullen (3687) carries Dries Van Noten, Gabriela Hearst, Khaite, Proenza Schouler and Tibi alongside emerging and BIPOC designers, Susan (3685) has long stocked Lanvin, Marni and Comme des Garçons, and Article (3625) mixes Odeeh, Magda Butrym and Spinelli Kilcollin jewelry. Waterlilies Swimwear has designer swimsuits and cover-ups. For the house, Hudson Grace (3350) sells Italian white serveware, Cire Trudon candles and vintage hotel silver from Paris, and Thos. Moser (3395) shows handmade solid-wood furniture from Maine, with design consultations by appointment. A Runner's Mind (3575) does walk-in gait analysis for fitting shoes.

Best Time to Visit

Shops generally open 10am to 6pm, with shorter Sunday hours and some boutiques closed early in the week. The Nobo is open only Wednesday to Saturday, so plan a resale crawl of The Nobo and both Goodbyes stores for those days. Article and As Quoted are closed on Sunday. At A Runner's Mind, go mid-morning on a weekday to avoid the lunch and weekend rush. Thos. Moser is hosting an ArtSpan + SF Open Studios reception on October 23, 2026 (5–8pm), with art on view October 28 to November 1.

If You Only Have an Hour

Start at the west end with a bagel from Boichik Bagels, then walk east through McMullen, Susan and Article. Stop at The Nobo if it's Wednesday to Saturday, then finish at Goodbyes and Hudson Grace.

Where to Eat

Boichik Bagels (3665) makes New York-style bagels and deli sandwiches until 1:30pm, and As Quoted (3613) serves coffee, breakfast and lunch. Spruce (3640), in the MICHELIN Guide, does a casual weekday lunch, weekend brunch and a more formal dinner with a substantial wine program; it takes no reservations at the bar, so arrive by 5pm. Sorrel (3228) holds one MICHELIN star for a five-course tasting menu, Wednesday to Sunday, and its eight-seat bar is walk-in only. Nearby at 500 Presidio Ave, Maria Isabel is MICHELIN Recommended for Mexican food, and its bar team won the guide's 2026 Exceptional Cocktails Award.
